In his latest interview with Bloomberg, Marc Faber likens the Cyprus Deposit tax to MF Global and sets a dangerous precedent. He goes on to say he’s convinced that governments will take 20-30% of his, and other wealthy individual’s money. Short clip (1:29).
A recent Pew Research study on the topic showed some encouraging results. Americans are, justifiably, becoming more cynical about the Federal Government. And for the first time ever, a majority in the U.S. view Feds as a threat to personal rights.
This next chart shows overall trust in government. Lots of interesting things to note, like the dramatic spike after 9/11.
Also at a new all-time high, 76% of Republicans now say government regulation of business does more harm than good. Democrats, not so much…

It should be noted that Rep. Mike Lee (R) from Utah helped carry out the filibuster, has been consistently anti-drone, and seems to be a well-spoken guy worth keeping an eye on.
