A dapper Jim Rogers covers a number of important issues in the clip below. Despite the Reuters interviewer, who acts almost as if she is speaking to a senile person, Rogers keeps his cool and seems as sharp as ever.

Not sure who his “team” will be but two of his current pals are Glenn Hubbard and Greg Mankiw both of whom are Bush era retreads. Count on more of the same with a different spin. We’re screwed with either puppet in the WH.

One is a socialist, the other is a corporatist. I see no practical difference. They are both pro-big government. They are both pro-inflation. They are both pro-war and military industrial complex.

Don’t understand why SupportmyResistance is accused of racism? In any event, I also don’t know why the interviewer does seemgly treat Jim Rogers like he’s senile. The overly expressive facial contortions etc. when interviewing a pro like Jim Rogers has to go.

Prez Obama has ballooned Government to WWII levels, and we need to pass out some pink slips to this segment of the population, hiring private section workers with the money we save; private section jobs are much more efficient at growing the economy, this we have seen! Government has got to shrink, we can’t afford to be the United States of Something-For-Everyone. We are broke, face the music America and get in line with the Greeks. The recent best-seller “Amateur” speaks volumes as to the lack of management skills of our present President. DNC under Obama could not even get their platform passed this week in Charlotte, and Jewish voters are furious about certain omissions in the platform that was shoved through with less than a 50% voice vote. Give Mitt and Paul a chance to right the ship of state. At least they have extensive experience in problem solving, something Mr. Obama lacked from day one. This is reality, not racism. Fiat money is smoke and mirrors.
There isn’t – nearly! – enough gold for a return to any ‘gold standard’.
So governments MUST confiscate privately held gold AND ALL ITS SURROGATES – gold funds and deposits, other precious metals, you name it and they’ll steal it. There’s no safe haven, and no party is less bad than another.

Also she received her undergraduate education from Harvard University and later studying at the University of Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar. She is allowing Jim Rogers to make his responses uninterrupted and all major points are covered. What else do you want?

He did come out in favor of gay marriage (1st president to), Did support abortion on demand, and did say that if he could not turn this around in 4 years that he would be a one term president.

We throw around terms such as socialism, conservative, liberal etc. often without classifying what they mean between us. Here are some of my main opinions regards socialsm: True socialism is based upon all land and other means of wealth belongs to the masses and not to individuals. Socialists also see the markets we discuss all the time as rip offs which makes all brokers thieves. So, markets, brokers and land owners would be enemies of the Socialist State which means confiscation by any means possible and redistribution to the masses is in order. The downfall/distruction of the old order of OUR Republic would ba a top order of the Socialist State, in order for the State to have the exclusive power to order OUR lives as their underdog serfs/subjects. Life under Socialism becomes a matter of being cntrolled, because the masters of the masses plan it that way, in order to keep the domestic peace under their exclusive influence/control. Control is what they classify as freedom. As long as you keep their rules you remain FREE but break their rules and you will be reprimended according to their regulations. Basically, their social eletes can do what they want but outsiders must behave as the Sate dictates which becomes the new normal for social security. Breaking the old order up through economic maladjustments would be their primary methods for reordering a new society but after the initial breakdown of the old order under OUR republic. They’re succeeding especially with government overspending far beyound OUR means to ever repay. We are being programmed for subjegation to their rules/regulation, to feel safe under their terms called Homeland Security etc. Inflation takes care of making sure the peasants NEVER get ahead, thrive or succeed independantly financially. Loss of work obviously is being subsidised by the State plus food stamps which also further pick pockets the middle class under the old Republic out of existance. FREE exercise of OUR human talents becomes so supressed that people beocme zombyized until who we are is far from who we use to be etc.

Why is no-one simply stating that the USA is bankrupt ? It is impossible to pay back the money we owe. The buying power of the dollar will have to go down to almost zero, meaning that we shall pay the debt with a useless currency. Every year the government pays with pieces of paper that have little value now and will have close to zero value in a few years. The GDP is not a product but the total amount of money we pay to stay alive. The ones who want to stay – or get – in power have great promises which they know we can not pay for. The whole circus is no more than competitive mass bribery.

Hey, we might hate the French but we love their country. I think you guys need to watch how the BBC interviews important and knowledgable people; calmly, no screeching, or OTT facial expressions.It puts the interviewee at ease and allows him/her to perform at their best. How Jim Rodgers managed to remain calm and composed is beyond me, maybe it is because he is used to dealing with such people being a regular financial pundit.
Forgot to add I loved Clint Eastwoods monolouge, he acted the regular Joe perfectly. Confused and disturbed by what is happening to his once great country.

It’s good to remember (or learn) that socialists are capitalists. They own all the capital. In our America republic, the individual is supposed to be free to own as much capital as is desired. Under socialism individual (the “masses”) are considered to be too stupid to control capital.
This is where God comes into the picture because we individual capitalists understand that we are children of a Higher Power instead of the progeny of pond scum and tadpoles and apes. As children of God we inherently have great power and capacity therefore we go to work, produce according to God’s rate of return (plant a seed and see what you get), and we accumulate great abundance. Then we share with loved ones and the less fortunate.
